Value Engineer Additive
KMWE's Additive & Re-use department is looking for a Value Engineer. The young team specialises in Additive Manufacturing and is based at the Brainport Industries Campus in Eindhoven. You will work in a small team on the development and production of AM components.
Job Description
As a Value Engineer you are responsible for the efficient and effective realization of products in the field of Re-use and Harvesting. You work together with the Product Engineer on a correct work preparation of a product and offer support to the production. In addition, as a Value Engineer you are responsible for the industrialization of new products and perform product optimization through, for example, design of process optimization. You are also responsible for setting up repair procedures for customers.
Duties and responsibilities
- You take care of the optimization of the processes necessary for the realization of a product;
- You take care of the necessary process flow and associated process stages;
- You implement the applicable customer requirements and industry standards;
- You ensure the receipt or delivery of Technical Product Documentation (TPD);
- you make make/buy decisions and provide input in supplier selection;
- You are responsible for industrialization of new products (NPI), completing all aspects related to QLTC;
- You are responsible for the overall performance of a product (QLTC) and take measures for it's improvement;
- You are responsible for managing the applicable performance indicators (KPI's and PI's) of the primary process part within the team;
- You ensure the accuracy and timeliness of data such as TPD and Product Data Management (Item Configuration Management).
Job requirements
- You have completed a relevant bachelor and/or master training course in a technical direction (Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics);
- You have several years experience in a relevant production environment;
- You have experience in applying quality improvement methodologies such as Control Plan, FMEA and 8D;
- You have good command of both the Dutch and English language, spoken and written;
