Job description

As a Business Manager at KMWE, you'll play an important role in shaping our company's trajectory. With your expertise, you will define the global commercial strategy for the semicon market. You will develop and execute the strategic plan including new business development, encompass driving sales, fostering strategic partnerships and the realization of growth at new customers. Our Business Manager will also build lasting relationships with customers and relevant stakeholders to encourage repeat and new business opportunities. 

The Business Manager will lead a team of (key) account managers and report to the Global Sales Director. 

 

Key duties and responsibilities 

Strategic and commercial leadership 

  • The Business Manager is responsible for the development and execution of the business strategy for the Semicon market for all KMWE divisions. 
  • Define and execute the commercial plan as derived from the strategic plan, to negotiate and deploy the commercial conditions and to achieve excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and supervise foreign sales representatives to maximize global reach and sales performance. 

 

Enhancing strategic partnerships and customer engagement

  • Negotiate and establish contracts with customers, including strategic partnerships, to secure long-term collaborations.
  • Provide valuable market insights and customer expectations to the board and initiate corrective actions if needed.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize sales processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers at various organizational levels to ensure responsiveness and satisfaction.

 

Managing business scope

  • Determine strategic allocations to other KMWE divisions, outlining clear terms and conditions.
  • Analyze market positions of KMWE divisions based on competitor and customer data to optimize strategies.
  • Facilitate seamless interactions with customers across different organizational functions and divisions.

 

Establishing and optimizing business operations

  • Set ambitious commercial goals and assign targets to the sales team to drive revenue growth and profitability. 
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the management team to establish governance processes that ensure goal achievement, risk mitigation, and resource optimization. 
  • Establish and maintain processes aligned with KMWE's blueprint guidelines to ensure seamless operations and QMS compliance.

 

Required knowledge, competences and skills

  • Master's degree in a relevant technical field (HBO/WO) with additional commercial experience; 
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant management experience with 5 years in a senior management level position, preferably in the equipment building of machining industry;
  • Proficient in Dutch and English;
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and capable to inspire, motivate and achieve commitment from both our customers and employees;
  • Demonstrated leadership expertise through a commitment to achieving excellent results, prioritizing customer satisfaction, taking ownership of results and displaying a winning mindset;
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and business skills.
