Job Description

As a Lead Engineer you are responsible for the designing process of bringing system design to fulfillment. KMWE is looking for a new member for the Engineering team, who brings experience in developing High Tech mechatronic systems and modules with the aim of realizing serial production of these modules within KMWE. You will be taking the lead in a design team and together with the Project Manager you are the point of contact to the customer, suppliers and production within the company.

Key duties and responsibilities

• You will be responsible for drafting the system design, the technical design and concept drawings according to established specifications.
• You comply to the KMWE process of designing.
• You will be responsible for setting up and preparing design reviews. 
• You will make a system design using Siemens NX and/or Pyton.
• You are cost-conscious and you will design according to ISO 13485, NEN standards and CE guidelines. In addition, you will need to take production capacity into account.
• You manage the design and development documentation in PDM (Teamcenter).
• You will be responsible for drafting test plans regarding the validation of developed systems.
• You guide and support production, assembly and testing.

Required knowledge, competences and skills

• You possess toll leadership and you take ownership of the design.
• You have at least 5 years of experience in the Engineering of relevant High Tech systems.
• You are used to working in a structured manner and you have good communication skills.
• You solve problems with creativity and a keen eye for quality and safety of the product.
• You have a good command of the English language in word and writing. Good command of the Dutch language is preferable.
