Medior Services Engineer
Job description
As a Technical Services Engineer, you will be responsible for minimising downtime to KMWE's machinery and production resources. Every day, you will be carrying out repairs and maintenance to the machine park and production resources of KMWE. While doing so, you will be aware of cost and quality control and you will take those take into account. You have experience in periodically measuring the accuracy and geometry of the machines.
Duties and responsibilities
- You will be co-responsible for the preventive and curative management and maintenance tasks relating to the machinery and installations of all KMWE premises – and you will be responsible for carrying out these tasks;
- You will analyse reported malfunctions, and on the basis of this analysis you will define the priorities and repair methods. You will organise the repairs and keep the person who reported the malfunction informed of the developments;
- You will instruct and supervise external maintenance engineers;
- You are co-responsible for the availability of tools, parts and knowledge for the execution of repairs and maintenance;
- You will actively share your thoughts and take the initiative with regard to processes within the department and in case of technical issues arising;
- You will be co-responsible for drafting the purchase requirements for new machines/installations to be ordered;
- You will be responsible for entering, maintaining and archiving machine and maintenance data;
- You will be responsible for periodically measuring the accuracy and geometry of the machines.
Job requirements
- You have completed your MBO training in a technical (mechanical, electro-technical) field with specialist courses in the field of electronic controls, pneumatics and hydraulics;
- You have at least 3-5 years experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment;
- You have good communication skills;
- You have a high degree of independence, good analytical skills, strong powers of persuasion and flexibility;
- You are a real team player with a proactive attitude and a high sense of responsibility.
