Job description

As a quality inspector at KMWE Aerospace, you will be involved in inspecting products for the aviation industry manufactured from high-performance materials such as titanium, stainless steel and nickel alloys. You will ensure that products meet the quality requirements by performing visual, dimensional and geometric inspections. These are products either in serial production or single pieces. Where necessary, you will also supervise the production operators while they carry out inspections and you will ensure that the quality philosophy is spread.

Duties and responsibilities

• You will carry out dimensional and geometric measurements using various measuring tools;
• You will affix identification signs during production so that these will be traceable;
• You will be responsible for ensuring that the product documentation is completed in accordance with the guidelines, and that the documentation is archived;
• You will handle the release of processing stages for follow-up operations as well as the release of finished products;
• You will carry out final inspections and ensure the release before the delivery to the customer;
• You will ensure the spread of the aviation quality philosophy.

Job requirements

• You have completed your training at MTS/MBO level, in the field of fine mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering or mechatronics; 
• You have at least 3 years' experience in a similar position in the fine mechanical industry;
• You have a broad knowledge of and experience in quality inspections and technical tests;
• You have extensive knowledge of reading drawings, form tolerances and plate tolerances; 
• You have a high degree of independence, accuracy and technical insight;
• You can think and work well within a high quality system.
