Mechanical Bench Fitter Aerospace
Job description
As a Mechanical bench fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out machine driven shaping/machining operations such as conventional milling, drilling and tapping on complex high-performance products for the Aviation industry. The operations are carried out on products made of materials that are difficult to work, such as titanium and inconel. This makes it a challenge to meet the required tolerances. These are products either in serial production or single pieces. You will work in accordance with the highest standards required in the aircraft industry and you will make use of the available working drawing and work preparation.
Duties and responsibilities
- On the basis of supplied drawings and work order specifications, you will independently carry outoperations on materials and/or products supplied. You will do so by using the production equipment, precision instruments and tools provided to you for that purpose;
- The operations consist of conventional milling, drilling and tapping and are carried out on products such as titanium and inconel;
- You will work in accordance with the highest standards required in the aircraft industry;
- You work accurately and are highly conscious of the quality needed.
Job requirements
- You have a working and thinking level equal to LBO-MBO fine mechanics;
- You preferably have at least 3 years' experience in a mechanical bench fitter position;
- You have a flexible attitude and good communicative and social skills;
- You are accurate and quality-conscious;
- You are able to read and understand work instructions;
- You are willing to work shifts.
