Ruud Rondeel, Anne Meijer and Edwin van Hak are nominated for Noordhofprijs 2024
We are proud to announce that three of our colleagues have been nominated for the prestigious Noordhofprijs 2024! This award recognises exceptional craftsmanship and innovation in our region.
Our nominees
- Ruud Rondeel – Metrology specialist
Ruud started his career in the metrology department at KMWE, where he developed his skills in metrology. He now ensures process quality by creating inspection plans and programming complex 3D-CMM measurements. Additionally, he develops fixtures for optimally utilise the measuring machines. Ruud works closely with project leaders, CAM engineers, and programmers. He supports operators, advises cost engineers, and guides new employees, sharing his knowledge and expertise.
Ruud has been nominated in the category Metal for his outstanding craftsmanship, dedication to process improvement, and his role as a mentor to new employees.
- Anne Meijer – Mechanical bench worker
With over 40 years of experience in precision engineering, Anne works as a mechanical bench worker at KMWE Aerospace. He performs precision machining on difficult-to-machine materials such as titanium, nickel and inconel. Additionally, he masters processes such as milling, drilling and tapping to ensure accurate quality control and correct product finishing. Anne also mentors younger colleagues and helps them develop in the demanding aerospace environment.
Anne has been nominated in the category Metal for his expertise, precision work, and dedication to mentoring the next generation of professionals.
- Edwin van Hak – Trainee assembly
Edwin transitioned from the hospitality sector to technology and is currently pursuing a BBL program at Summa Techniek. He is rapidly developing as a technician by building complete machines from individual parts and performing calibrations. With his eagerness to learn and passion for technology, he proves to be a promising professional. His problem-solving skills and initiative make him a valuable asset to KMWE.
Edwin has been nominated in the category career change talent for his quick learning ability, his enthusiasm for technology, and his inspiring career change to mechatronics.
Award ceremony
The award ceremony will take place on November 12th, 2024 at the NH Conference Centre Koningshof in Veldhoven.
