On Saturday 14 June 2025, the Brainport Industries Campus (BIC) in Eindhoven opens its doors for the High Tech Ontdekkingsroute. Companies will demonstrate how technology works in practice. Entry is free.
For families and curious minds
The High Tech Ontdekkingsroute is designed for families with children. Children will experiment with technology, build things and discover how robots work. It’s all about fun, wonder and hands-on experiences.
Students and jobseekers are also welcome. Interested in a technical internship or job? Talk to specialists from participating companies and explore your future opportunities.
Experience high-tech up close
During this annual event, BIC transforms into an interactive hotspot for all ages. Children take on technical challenges and discover their talents.
The 2025 theme is: inventors of fun.
Expect surprising activities where creativity and technology come together.
The High Tech Ontdekkingsroute is an initiative of Brainport Eindhoven and is organised by Brainport Industries, together with BIC tenants and other partners.
KMWE lets children pilot a plane
KMWE will be in the atrium of BIC with a fun hands-on activity.
Children control a plane by pressing the right buttons to guide it past obstacles. Their instructions are executed by a robot arm, which lifts off, flies and lands the aircraft.
If the plane lands safely, a green signal lights up. Through this, children experience how technology, control and automation work together in practice.

There will also be a joint treasure hunt or design challenge.
Participating companies include Yaskawa, Summa College, Avans University of Applied Sciences, Additive Center, K3D, Macroscoop, Festo, SMC, Brainport Industries, NTS Group, FMI, VDL TBP Electronics and Brainport Industries College.
After all the action, relax at the BIC café with food and drinks. A perfect day out for the whole family.
